Stockholm, September 7, 2026 – Froda today announced the appointment of Jonatan Loor as Chief Legal Officer. He joins from Advokatfirman Delphi and brings experience from both sides of the regulatory table, including four years as a bank CEO and time as legal counsel at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. The hire deepens Froda's in-house legal expertise as the company continues its European expansion.
Loor joins from Delphi, where he was a partner in the firm's financial regulatory practice, advising banks and other financial institutions on regulation, licensing, and compliance. Before that, he spent four years as CEO of Sparbanken Gotland, Sweden's smallest bank, with full P&L responsibility. He also held AML and compliance roles at Swedbank, served as legal counsel at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, and started his career at DLA Piper and Baker & McKenzie.
"We're expanding across Europe just as the regulatory bar keeps rising. That makes legal one of the most important parts of what we're building, because regulation is usually what stands between us and closing the financing gap for Europe's small businesses. Jonatan is the best person we could have put in this seat," said Olle Lundin, CEO and Co-Founder of Froda.
With a loan portfolio of SEK 5 billion and a presence across seven European markets, Froda has grown into one of the continent's leading embedded finance platforms. Over the past year, the company has signed new partnerships with banks and fintechs across the Nordics, the UK, Ireland, and Germany. Lending across borders under a Swedish credit market license means legal work in every market Froda enters, and bringing Loor in is about building that capability in-house.
"Froda is breaking new ground in a complex, multinational landscape, and my job is to make that possible – on the regulatory side and in the commercial contracts. Getting capital into the hands of more European small businesses is the part that gets me out of bed in the morning," said Jonatan Loor, CLO of Froda.
The appointment is the latest in a run of additions to Froda's legal team. Earlier this year, Johan Löfquist joined as Senior Legal Regulatory Counsel from Advokatfirman Hammarskiöld.
